Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised Reich Labour Service (RAD) insignia in the form of a shovel overlaid by a mobile swastika, set within wheat stalks, the reverse bearing a
